Don't send it in to grade. It will cost you 10 times more than the coin(s) will ever be worth. The twonie has a minor alignment abnormality, but it looks within specs (or how you can find them). Even if you can't read the denomination on it .. what size is it? Copper or silver? Canadian coins are the same size as US, except a 5 cent silver is smaller than a dime.

No, any coating applied was post-mint and, if it as described (an oval & thick) it would detract from the price, not enhance it. Try to get a picture of it .. it should show up. There is no "coating" applied at the mint .. there is a final wash to remove any contaminants, but no coatin...
