No extra value. It's damage that happened after the coin was struck. Hello collectors, I've included more pictures of this 1947 maple 5 cent coin. This coin had to be made at the RCM in 1948 between the 1947 maple and the 1947 dot coin. I think It's very unlikely to have occurred during circulation...
