Re: looking for notes in any conditions

Wow,” regent “. looks like your putting together a real collection, sorry I can’t help you but good luck, keep us updated with how it’s going, maybe at some point you can post pictures of some date groups or notes. I always like seeing old bills even if I can’t have them myself. :D . can’t wait unti...

Re: How much would you ask for this note?

Nice looking Note , I'm no expert and dont want to miss lead you but I would say it hold a fair premium Value. If you look in the Charlton Standard Catalogue Canadian Goverment Paper Money , Bird series $20 with Radar one digit solid number, Book value at $1200.00. You would want to have it looked a...

Re: New Coin Collector ideas

Truly could not say if there are less coin collectors then there use to be or not, But one thing i tried with a Grand nephew (7 year old) was putting a 1973 RCMP quarter in a 2x2 and made like it was a real special one , Told him if he ever wanted to get rid of it i would give him a dollar for it :P...

Re: Bill grading question!!!

Like hearing different opinions, thanks for the reply’s . It’s just a observation and it might just be my lack of knowledge when it comes to grading. It truly is a art in my opinion and wish I had taken interest in this when I was younger and I like to think was able to retain information better.

Re: Bill grading question!!!

Thanks papermoneyguy . Second Question Do you think grading standards are the same for all paper notes or it seems to me the older the note the more relaxed the standards, This is more possibly in non slabbed notes but looking at action sites or seeing notes at live shows "In My Oppinion" :D that se...

Bill grading question!!!

When looking at the value of paper bills on this web site to get the value shown do they need to be certified by a professional company or is that the value of uncertified notes. Example : 1923 25 cent note, Unc60 value would that be for a certified or uncertified note value????

Re: 1962 double date

If you go to the home page on this site and click on coins , follow on to 1 cent and so on takes you to what looks like your coin" double 962" could be worth a bit but i'm not one to grade it for you , Looks nice other then it has some bad enviromental damage.

Re: Where are the posts?

Your right" Bill in Burl" I wish i had more input to this site but i dont trust myself to give anyone info on coin or currency colllecting. Listening to TV reports on the economy of the world i would think it might be difficult times for a lot of people to invest in coins, in fact i would not be sur...

Thanks troubadour, that makes more sense. The photo on the price guide and value just showed the no design picture and it wasn’t making sense to me but that helps.

Re: 2005 Poppy???

Looks to me like the surface plating was damaged enough to allow moisture and possibly chemical to start the steel center of the coin to rust. Remember the P mark on the coin stands for plating :D

Re: 1946 50 cent Design???

maybe i should start a new thread for this but , there is a higher value placed on the 1946 Design but then you go to the 1950 and there is a higher value for the No Design , were damaged coins more common then standard ones for that year????

Re: 1953 to 1964 Quarters

Just go to the Canadian coin section of this website ( bar at top of page) and you should be able to find value and minting numbers for all of those years. Good luck.
