Re: 1960 10 cents debris error
There appears to be percussive damage on the obverse. That's a sign of PMD.

1891 Oddities
I picked up a 1891 on eBay and was surprised on all the die deterioration noted on the coin.

I made these “errors” as a kid. You take two coins place them on a piece of wood. Cover the coins with a flat washer then smash them with a sledgehammer. Easy peasy.

Re: 1962 Hanging 2 Notched 2 (Zoell P86D)?
I have no idea. When you look at the coin close up, the top section of the 2 is missing (on a slight concave) but otherwise perfectly aligned. The extreme tip of the “6” also exhibits the same angle. I thought maybe it was grease. I would love to see others to see if it’s a gradual change.

1962 Hanging 2 Notched 2 (Zoell P86D)?
After many years of searching, I finally came across a 1962 hanging 2 cent with the elusive “notched 2”. I first ran across this variant at Torex in the early 2010s when they were available from a few vendors. The ones they had were very high grade (and way overpriced) certified so I figured I would...

Re: 1921-2021 with "Fish Hook"
The RCM coins coming out of the mint’s Winnipeg facility have horrific quality control issues. Look at any coin after 2001 and most will have issues.

Re: 2021 10 cent mintage??
It was only released in certain uncirculated sets and the first strike rolls. Total number about 825,000 - 850,000 NBU and 30,000 specimens. There’s no confirmation that any have ever been circulated.

Re: 1964 dot over 9
I agree with Bill. The ‘dots’ are quite plentiful. I’ve actually tracked and photographed all kinds of variants. I would never imagine that folks would give me $100+ or more for them and then feel good about it. I have a couple of rolls. Now I am intrigued I will hold on to them. Imagine if I releas...

Re: 2000P Triple P
The ICCS version shows a beak on the right. The one I posted has that beak. I'm guessing it's a Triple P with an extreme close-up of the tripling.

Re: 2000P Triple P
Judging from other Triple Ps I’ve seen, this one has all the markings. My close up shows what appears to be tripling. I was hoping someone who has a close up picture of the triple P can post it.

2000P Triple P
I went through an entire roll of mint state 2000P nickels and found one example with what appears to be a triple P. The Inscription and beads also shows die breakdown. Is this a triple “P”?

Re: 1942 ten cents die breakdown
I love these types. The die breakdown in the war years is quite apparent. I have war nickels chock full of cracks.

1942 ten cents die breakdown
I have a MS 1942 ten cents that is full of die cracks on both sides. There appears to be doubling in the “19”. An unusual crack going up the king’s cheek, and a bunch around the rim. Enjoy.

New serial number of bill not listed on your registry
I posted a bunch of notes in the discussion board about a year ago. They include 1954 and 1973 series replacement notes. Do you need my permission to post?
