These were a non-circulating business strike that you bought in special wrapped rolls of 25 from the mint so the value would not be as high as a circulating business strike. I'm sure if you had a roll and checked it, you would find most to be MS65 and up so the odds of finding a MS67 or MS68 would b...

That's just damage. Looks like someone tried to cut it.

I agree the mules are worth more, when I said the value of each individual coin, I didn't,t mean the face value.
The quarters might be worth more than face if any of them grade high MS.

If they are the ones I'm thinking off, those are aftermarket sets and as you can interchange the coins, I would have to say they wouldn't be worth much more that the value of each individual coin.

Correct, any prefix ending with a X is a replacement. There is also the two different styles of a Theissen- Crow BBX replacement note you didn't mention.

In the 1986 series, identification of a replacement note was made by the use of an "X" as the third prefix letter
so BRX would be a replacement note.

Looks like a plating bubble. The inner core is brass plate aluminum bronze and sometimes gas (air) gets trapped and expands forming a bubble. You should be
able to depress it with a toothpick.
