Re: 1924 Five Cents doubled face
I initially thought MD as well, but it looks like there is doubling shadow on the right as well. Maybe die deterioration doubling which affects sometimes both sides of the image.

Re: Dollars
Yes, it's post-mint. Parking meters, coin counters and pay laundry take their toll. Even old slot machines.

Re: Recently inherited coin collection
From the few that you have listed, there's not much money there. The 1963 proof penny has sold on Ebay in the last month between $2 and $5 and the farthing about the same. The 1930 farthings are mostly sold in lots of 15-50 for less than $4 apiece. As dbcoins stated, see if you can find a dealer in ...

Re: 200...Roosevelt Dime US Coin
Just use a loop or magnifying glass to see even a small section of the last digit. It's from 2000 to 2009 and still worth just a dime and really nothing special to save.

Re: Small beads blunt 5
Since this thread is so old, I wonder what it came back as. I think not much over 63. Why on earth would someone spend 5-10 times what the coin is worth or will ever be worth to get some plastic with a tag? TPG's have brainwashed people into thinking that every coin, no matter its worth, needs to be...

Re: 1998 W proof-like DDR 2 dollar coin
What the OP is referring to as a serif, isn't. There are no serifs on the font used for the twonie, so there are no split serifs. There is some doubling but it's due to either die deterioration doubling or mechanical/machine doubling. You can not use the "variety" section of this website to accurate...

Re: 1998 W proof-like DDR 2 dollar coin
There isn't, as far as I know, a 2013 DDO, as TBH has explained above. You are not going to get any hub-doubling as you describe because the minting process makes it impossible. If you are getting your info from this CoinsandCanada site, then that's where the bum info is coming from. CaC allows any ...

Re: 1998 W proof-like DDR 2 dollar coin
I didn't see any of the "classic" notching and was first going to say MD, but was too extensive all around the coin.

I'd say die deterioration doubling (DDD).
