Assessment of 1947 as to DD and grading.
I am an elderly but very inexperienced coin collector and was wondering if any of the more experienced members would provide an assessment of what I think is a DD error on reverse and perhaps obverse as well and also an estimate to the grade this coin might obtain. I was thinking about having it gra...

I am far from an expert but in my opinion it is definitely a D.D. double die, hopefully some more experienced collectors will reply and let you know for sure.

Re: 1944 5 cent tombac
Knsgee here, and after the fact I did check and found it to be magnetic and I have doubts that it is tombac as well since it only weighs 4.35 grams! Wouldn’t a tombac be more like 4.55?

1944 5 cent tombac
I have what seems like a fairly rare coin in that it is a 1944 5 cent Tombac. It is in not bad shape except for after minting damage really bad on obverse side and minor on reverse. It weighs 4.35 grams. I was wondering about a guesstimate as to what kind of a grade it would receive. I will attempt ...

Effect of rippling on value by collectors
I am new to all aspects of numismatics but have gone thru a container we have been throwing pennies in for about 50 years. Had about 1200 of them the oldest dated 1928 which is in pretty good shape. I was wondering what affect if any rippling has on 1 cent coins. I know I came across several coins t...
