Paul sent me that info last night . He said to check R444d and look for the clashes in the crown or polish marks to get rid of them . Otherwise it will be a new discovery, if neither things are there . Thanks again everybody for the help ...

We have are local ANA show coming up in November and its only 4 miles from my house . Mr. Potter will be there and I know him very well and we live in the same neighborhood too ..

My personal take on getting something graded is.. that I prefer the raw coin... (that's just me) I wouldn't really care about getting this graded unless you're thinking of selling.. My justification for getting something graded is that the cost of grading the coin is within 5-10% of the total cost ...

As Bill said Paul is THE guy on George VI 50 cent coins! To me this looks like a 1943 3/3/3 Certainly hope he also becomes a member here I'd love to hear more of what he has to say... I remember the first hoof through '46 I posted on another site he then pointed out a number of other small clashes ...
