Re: 1968 variety?
That is quite a fairy tail that seller has. Just how would a 69 be converted to a 68? Also there would be no reason to even if it was possible, as there were over 170,000,000 minted between the RCM and Philadelphia Mint so an extra couple of thousand would make no difference. Hard to tell from the p...

Re: Peculiar Canadian 1 cent coin
It could also be a dryer coin.
I was thinking maybe it was spooned but it
seems too round and smooth for that
Either way, it's PMD.

Re: 1 cent split
That new photo makes it easier.
Definitely a split planchet.
Don't think I have ever seen a split that large.
Nice find.

Re: Churchill Commemorative Coin
The Churchill Commemorative is from Great Britain and is a a legal tender 5 shilling coin.
Value like any other coin depends on condition.
If circulated, not much over face value.
In MS condition, maybe $10.00 if you can find a buyer.

Sounds like you have some nice coins to dispose of

Re: Holed coins
If you are going to display them, they would probably look better filled.
It won't increase the value though as they would still be damaged coins.

Re: incorrect cut off size
Going to need more info.
You don't state what year the bill is or how it was cut incorrectly.
There are many bills that were modified to look like an error.
Will need a picture before being able to say if it is a true
error or not.

Re: Is this worth sending in for grading
I don't think I would bother getting them graded. It would probably cost more than they are worth as they are well worn and creased. Hard to grade bills from a picture, but they might make VG. Look to see if you have a series A. They are worth 4 or 5 times as much as the other series. Still nice to ...

As Bill stated
Post mint damage.
It was done after it left the mint.

Re: 1972 Oversized Nickel
It doesn't reall y matter how it was done. There are a lot enterprising people out
there that do many strange things to coins.
The main thing is that, as shylo stated and I agree, it couldn't have been done at
the Mint so that makes the coin PMD.

Re: 1972 Oversized Nickel
I take it that all the coins are nickel coloured and that is lighting
that causes two of them to look gold?
Also, what is the significance of the third coin on the picture of the Obverses.
It looks too be the same size as the centre coin.
Just trying to eliminate possibilities.
Thanks
