I enjoy old Canadian coins, but the thought of starting a serious collection was too daunting for me. Therefore, I decided to just get the first coin for each denomination that Canada minted, beginning with the 1858 series. I just had this 1870 Twenty Five cent coin graded by ICCS as AU 58. It is one of the nicest ones that I managed to get and figured I'd share the enjoyment with the folks on this forum while I have it. It has pretty close to 100% lustre still.

No need to explain. If this were mine, I wouldn't be able to show it off fast enough either.
And like yourself, if I can be so bold; although I love you long time, I'd have a hard-times hard time hanging on to you.

This is why I stick around here---from time to time something turns my head. Thanks for posting.

I want to know where it lost two points. So...what's the deal? Show us the obverse or it ain't real
Cheers

Would be nice to see the obverse.. and it's hard taking good photos of coins... but looks like there's some slight wear on the bow... and I'm not sure if it's the plastic or the coin but I do see hairlines within the fields... that may be where the deductions are..

Beauty coin though!

....I have to see it to believe it. So if you're ever in Saskatoon, bring it along :D
