confused about the value 1966 canadian quarters

Hello one and all,
I am very new to this board and coin world. I have over 400 1966 Canadian quarters which I am looking to sell. I did my own search and have gotten so confused with so many different values. From a local coin collector saying it was just $2.50 per coin last week and it just today went down to $2.00.
I don't need to sell them right away and can wait for a fair price or when the silver goes back up.
On this site it states "25 cents 1966 prices and values"
The minimum value of a 25 cents 1966 is $3.83, due to the value of the metal that composes it.
From what I take from this is that it's $3.83 ... am I missing something? Is this site updated daily?
Any input is greatly appreciated as to where I get the true value. There isn't any that have a collecting value as they are all pretty run down.
Thanks so much,
Janice
