Need help

Post by KEN66 » Mon Apr 15, 2019 8:28 am

I purchased a 1932 PCGS Canadian nickel. On the label it states far s. I don't know what that means. I checked the Canadian coin book that I have and it lists a high 2 and low 2 but nothing about a far s. Can anyone help me on this coin? Thank you.

The "S" they are referring to is the one in CENTS.
There are two varieties:
Near S, where the S is near to the rim.
Far S, Where the S is farther from the rim.
Value is about the same for both.

Thanks again. I wonder why they would bother to list it on the slab.

Probably so that anyone who collects varieties would know which it was.
It is listed in Charltons.
