Is there anyway you can clean the red from a coins from 1973 mint set.
If your talking about the red fluff from the holder, it has probably permanently damaged the coins.
You can soak them in distilled water for a while until the fluff starts to separate from the coin
and then clean with a Q-tip to remove the loose fluff. But as I said, your coins will probably still have
some damage. Give it a try anyway, you can't hurt them anymore than what has already been done.
