1942 Canada cent 10-sided ?

Hi, I would be grateful for info please. Going through a late family member's things & I
found a bag full of old coins. I am not familar to coin collecting but am trying to research as to weather they are worth anything.
In the bag was this 10-sided 1942 canada cent.
In my research i have not found anything about a 10-sided cent :?:

Strange coin. Could be struck on a foreign planchet, but I would like to look at the details on the edge of the coin for human/machinery marks.

Yes, it looks like a vise may have come into play ... the edges are curled and the flat portions (sides) are not all the same size.
