1975 with doubling on obverse

Post by tonyamnick » Thu Jan 11, 2024 7:31 pm

Hope everyone is doing well. I came across this coin and can't seem to find one listed like it. Looks like there is doubling on some of the letters. The dots around the edge also seem to vary in size and the rim is off centered.

Anyone else have a similar coin?

Thanks for looking, appreciate any opinions or thoughts

It looks like mechanical/machine doubling to me. I will post this great reference again now for the Nth time. Read the article and then click on the links below the article. Not every anomoly that appears to be doubling actually came from the die. They came from the machinery that operated or held the die..... good die, faulty operation.

Agree with Bill, that is Machine Doubling, one of the worthless types of doubling.
