I found this coin coin roll hunting and was really curios is wether it is a small cud or a die chip or what is going on please tell me?

Can’t be a cud as they only appear on the edge of a coin.
Might be a die chip but a photo of the complete obverse may help.
Sometimes pictures can be too large and you lose perspective.
