I have a 1974 Canada 25-Cent piece that has an uncentered broadstroke. I got it in 1974 in change from a pizza delivery guy. It's in really nice shape and I've kept it in a strongbox wrapped in tissue since then. I just was going through some of my coins and took a closer look at it, and noticed that it doesn't have any serrations on the edge(Collar?). Sorry if my terms are wrong. Is this normal for an uncentered broadstrike? or is this considered a double error? Image Image

Yes, it's normal. Nice find! If the coin isn't well centred during the strike it's possible that the collar doesn't leave a mark on the third side of the coin.

Actually there are NO serrations anywhere on the edge of this coin. Is there any value to this piece, or more of a conversation piece.?

Cool! I am an avid stamp collector and also have a nice Arrowhead collection(my passion), but have a nice little coin collection from my childhood...maybe I'll get a bit more involved, and see what I actually have... Thanks
