Hoping to receive an assessment from those members that provide them. I believe they are very capable in providing info with regard to USA coins as they are Canadian,at least I hope so.
This penny is a small date version and an error coin as it weighs 3.08g vice the 2.50g planchet that was supposed to be used and was used for the majority of 1982 USA pennies.

First, it is not an error coin. 1982 was a transition year so the first of the year all coins were copper
until they switched over to copper plated zinc coins. There would be millions of each minted.
I would grade yours at AU 50.
