Help for grading uncirculated coins

Post by Saucey » Sun Dec 10, 2023 9:29 pm

I have an estate collection to liquidate and I'd like advise on "uncirculated" coins. On the examples below is this considered "uncirculated"? I know these coins in particular are not not valuable but I'd like to be able to identify uncirculated coins before going through the whole collection.

Firstly how are the coins being stored?
Are they loose or protected somehow?

Cannot tell what grade from those photos, they are too dark to see any detail.
I usually store low value or regular coins in 2x2’s.
For silver or higher value coins I store them in Leuchturm square coin capsules
with the black foam insert from Lighthouse to help prevent toning.

Some coins were loose and some were in stapled cardboard.

These are 720 dpi scans, what's the best way to take pictures of coins?
