Canadian 1938 5$ bank note

Post by Val » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:42 pm

I can't seem to find any information on the particular 5$ Canadian bill that I have. The following is a brief description:

All English; 2 figures pictured that may be the individuals that have signed the bank note those being Carlisle (President) and Rae (General Manager).
Printed by the Canadina Bank Note Company, Limited and has 'The Dominion Bank' at the top.
Top left and bottom right corners have #5 in Roman Numeral (V) and in the top right and bottom left corners the #5.
The back of the note has the map of Canada.
Serial number 158370 with Toronto indicated under one side and the date 3rdJan1938 on the other.
Could you please tell me if this currently has any value other than face value. It may be considered in G -VG condition.

Thanks for any help and input.
