Looking for information- brick of 1973 $1 notes

Good afternoon everyone,
While I used to collect coins and notes when I was in my youth (decades ago), it’s not a hobby which I have followed since then. I will find my old coin collection and review it at some point. Today, I have a question on 1973 $1 banknotes.
When my father learned about the $1 notes being changed to coins in the mid 80s, he purchased a brick of 1000 $1 notes. He hasn’t touched the notes since he purchased them and they remain strapped in the same state as he purchased them.
While I know there were billions of these notes printed and I don’t think there is anything special about this specific serial number series, do collectors have any interest in bricks like these?
Thank you very much for your thoughts!
