1954

Post by claude » Mon Dec 05, 2016 2:50 pm

I have a replacement 1954 one dollar bill, signed by Bouey-Rasminsky.

Serial number *H/F0799145.

I am not a collector and would appreciate any comments, and estimated value if possible.

This dollar bill is NOT soiled, great colors, no crease, centered, no folds, etc.

Thanking you in advance,

Claude

Your prefix is a good one.
There where only 80,000 printed with *H/F.
Hard to tell condition from those pictures but could be
worth in the 100's if uncirculated.

Nice find.

Based on the pictures the note appears to be an AU. It is not an uncirculated note, although some people would try and say it is. All 4 corners are not square.

Charlton's list the value at $400, CoinsAndCanada have it at $500, however depending on who you may try to sell it too you will not likely get anything near either.

Depending on where you live maybe try approaching a few dealers and ask what they are willing to offer you.

Good luck.

Many thanks for your information. I live in the Ottawa area. Any dealer that you could recommend would be appreciated.

Thank you very much I will look it up. This is a great site.

A little story behind this dollar bill. My sister was working with a gentleman that is mother passed away. While cleaning her apartment he found over $40,000 in bills (books, magazines, etc). He brought them all to the bank for face value. I got the last $200.00 where I found this note. Just imagine.
