Canadian bank notes

Post by Morgan » Thu Nov 02, 2017 3:18 pm

Hi everyone, I am new
I have several Canadian $100 dollar bank notes 54 with devil face. 7 of them have consecutive serial numbers.
I would like to get them appraised and perhaps sell them. Dose anyone know of an appraiser in southern ontario.
Thank you

Why would you pay money to get them appraised when there's people on here that would be happy to do it for free.

I agree with Shylo. Why do you want to get them appraised? Do you think you will get more money for them. Not necessarily.

If you can take some GOOD photos of them and post them on this site there are a few of us who will give you an idea of their grading.

Graded bank notes do not necessarily sell faster. Yes there are some people who will only buy officially graded notes while other people will only buy unofficially graded notes.

I had a few graded notes which I offered at a very reasonable price. I also had a number of ungraded notes of the same denomination and same grade and same sales price. The unofficially graded notes outsold the graded ones about 10 to 1.

Depending on how many notes you have you can always consider grading a few and sell the remaining without getting official grading on them.

Regardless, please remember that whether officially or unofficially graded that you will not necessarily get the prices quoted in the Trends or Charlton's as those are generally the sold prices of dealers. They buy notes and coins at a fraction of the price.

If you wan them graded, go to Steve at BCS in Kitchener, Ont. He is in the basement below Colonial Acre Coins on Victoria St.

Good luck

I might be in Southern Ontario in the next few months. Depending on where you are I would possibly like to see them. You can PM (Private Message) me.

Regardless, please try to post a few pictures for our group to see.
