Die Test Run?

Post by Terry Mitchner » Mon Nov 20, 2017 3:54 pm

Found in a roll of 5¢ coins. Tried to take a picture but it didn't turn out. Have a camera coming next month.

Anyway Everything about this coin is a 2008 5¢ coin, except, I think it is brass and is thinner than a Steel Alloy Nickle.

Any guesses?

Hard to tell without picture,
but possibly it was struck on a wrong planchet.
Did you check to see if diameter is exactly 21.10mm?
