Hello!
Came across this toonie the other day, unfortunately it's pretty damaged. I'm wondering if anyone's seen something similar, where the core and the ring don't line up. I've seen online that it might mean it's fake?

It's not letting me upload another picture, but the back is the same deal where the ring has been rotated around the core.

It's pretty common from people fooling around. The core can be completely removed, as well as rotating it. All it takes is some heat and cold prperly applied. It didn't leave the mint that way for sure.

Have seen this quit a few times where the core has been deliberately rotated.
It is impossible for this to happen at the mint as the ring and the core are both struck from a single die.
