1945 Dollar
This is a 1945 silver dollar I have and wondering about a couple of spots on either side of the dollar itself. On the head side of the coin is possibly due to a die break and on the obverside there is a little spot near the edge. I am including a photo of each side and was wondering if there is extra value to this coin.

- Is this a die break?

Re: 1945 Dollar
The Obverse has a retained cud die crack.
The Reverse is damage from taking a hit which has displaced the metal.
There also appears to be a scratch in the same area.
The damage would probably negate any premium for the die crack.

I agree with coinguy.
But the biggest problem is that your coin is not a silver dollar.
It's worth about one-tenth the value a 1945 dollar.

Not sure where my head was when I posted under the silver dollar section. Of course it is a .50 cent piece. thanks for the info from both you and the coinguy
