2005 Penny missing edge

I was going through my change that I won at the family reunion last year and found a 2005 penny with no edge on it and the font is different then the regular pennies. I'll have to get a good picture to post but any idea what it could be worth?

Foreign planchet? Or maybe a collar problem during the production..

That looks like what happens when you put a cent into one of the "lucky penny" horseshoes or similar surrounding collar. Not a mint error.
