The newest coin in the Vancouver 2010 collection is here. The sport of cross-country skiing is depicted on the 25-cent coin This marks the tenth coin to be issued in celebration of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The new 2009 Native American dollar from United States was launched at the National Museum of American Indian Multicultural Festival. The dollar coins wear the familiar Sacagawea heads design introduced in 2000 and a new reverse who depicts a Native American woman planting seeds in a field of corn, beans and squash emblematic of the Three Sisters method of planting.With this coin, we hope to educate Americans, as the museum does, on how Native Americans helped make this country the premier food producer in the world.

In Lewes, southern England, to encourage the population to buy local and regional products and services, leaders decided to print their own bank notes. 125 to 150 merchants currently accept the one pound Lewes notes in circulation to try to minimize the damage caused by the economic crisis. A total of 25 000 tickets will be in circulation.
