United States - The first new 2009 1 cent coin

The new 2009 1 cent coin, from a serie of four, has been launched this week in Hodgenville, Kentucky.
Birth
The new pennies won't be found in general circulation anytime soon due to the economy. The Federal Reserve coinage terminals have so many pennies in stock already from people cashing in their built-up change accumulations in this poor economy that very few new 2009 pennies are getting distributed to the banks.
