In medal alignment (↑↑), the tops of the obverse and reverse share the same position.

On most 1858 1-cent coins, vine at leaf #13 and sometimes at leaf #7 are broken. Furthermore, many broken leaf stems can be found. Here's the leaves numbering system for Canadian large cents.
