Re: Unusual 2004 CDN Poppy Quarter
The printing process was different back then. Kind of like a low quality bubble jet printer. Poppy images from other years have better quality because the printing process improved. Hard to find a circulated 2004 in good shape, the ink didn't last.

2016 Star Trek Gold Delta Die Crack
I think I found a Die Crack in a 2016 Star Trek Gold Delta coin from the RCM. This is a non-circulating legal tender coin. At first I thought it was a scratch but on a closer look it is not a scratch. Crack goes from the edge above the 2nd A in Canada through the D and the last A then down to the sh...

Re: 2014 Superman Gold Coin
Who would ever allow you to remove a collector coin from the capsule to weigh it ?!?
My best advise, track somebody down who has one from a legit source and compare.
The one I looked at was fine but you never know.

RCM Proof Set Prices
Can anyone tell me why proof sets from the 1970s to 1995 (not 1973) are retailing at around $30 to $60 while 1996 to date are all over $100? Is it purely demand? Should I expect that in the coming years the sets selling for $100 today will eventually be part of the $30 -$60 group? (or priced accordi...

1973 double dollar set: Will dissassembly affect value?
Just received a 1973 double dollar RCM set. The edge of the penny has a black substance where it contacts the red felt. Seems there was a humidity issue at some point in the last 40 years The other coins are all ok. I would like to take the set apart and clean/wipe the rim of the penny. Would also l...
