Re: 1982 Voyageur "Patched Canoe"
Looking closer at this (as I said, I'm not into nickel dollars), perhaps when they say "missing chrome", they are referring to the striking dies which have a chrome plating. If a part of this fell off somehow, it would leave a small raised area on the coin. This would cause multiple coins to have th...

Re: 1982 Voyageur "Patched Canoe"
Maybe we should get Roger involved with this one, he's the Nickel Dollar expert.
I'll see if I can contact him, not sure if he is away or not.

Re: 1982 Voyageur "Patched Canoe"
I’m not really into Nickel Dollars but I can’t see how it could be missing Chrome Plating when there is no chrome on a Nickel Dollar.
Is it possible that it is a lamination problem that can occur on solid alloys.

Re: TEN CENTS 1891
Photo adequate enough. Sorry but that is a 22 Leave Large 9. Check the opening on the top of the 9, a small 9 is almost closed, a Large 9 is more open. Also if you check the serifs on the 1, on the Small 9 they curve towards the body. On a Large 9, they are square towards the body. Out of curiosity,...

So what your saying is the holder is worth your 5,999.00 asking price.
So much for the saying "Buy the coin and not the holder"
It is impossible to know how many more are out there that have not been graded.

Re: Super Rare Population 1 / 1935 Canada Silver Dollar ICCS SWL and REAR SWL MS-65
I should have pointed out in my earlier thread that mine is also a SWL on the front, I thought that you were referring to just the rear. Also it is in MS condition but I never get any of my coins graded so not sure what it would grade. Again, there would be many more of these out there as once the d...

They are not all that rare, I have one myself. It certainly couldn't be the only one to exist.
The rear SWL was caused by die polishing so there would be as many struck as to when the
die was polished and when the die was retired.

Welcome to the Forum
First, a German planchet is not an error, there were 10 million produced in Germany to help with the
production during the introduction of the Toonie in 1996.
That extra string of “beads” you see is just damage

Not an error, that is the way they all are. Just check others 1/2 penny bank tokens and compare.
