Re: The Value of my Canadian Bill's....HELP???

I have to agree with most comments that there isn't a lot of value in these bills , but please don't just take them to the bank as that will only result in them being destroyed. I true collector is probably looking for bills of that age in better condition, but a bill like those can be great starter...

Re: 1091 grams of silver is about 785.00 I think but are centennial coins worth more ?

dadhoards, a few days ago i was asking the question of how to tell a 1967 80% silver dime from a 50'% Bill in Burl indicated the drop test, the one with the highest pitch ring is the higher silver content. you might be able to get a better idea of how much silver you have there. And to your question...

Re: New circulating canadian $2

Had not noticed that "wiser3'
another tie in to the 1943 Tombac.
i prefer no color on coins but will probably try and get one for the collection if i get a chance.
Looking forward to the day that coin shows and 'in person" auctions are back.

Re: 1982 Constitution Dollar Weight

Thanks for your inputs , it isnt a big thing i just thought it would be easier to determine if you had a thick or thin planchet by its weight rather then trying to measure it thickness. and yes coinguy i thought they were 100% nickel till i read the RCM report that henrysmedford highlighted!!!!!!!

Re: 1982 Constitution Dollar Weight

thanks but seems strange 1968 to 1982 they used a planchet 2.62 mm thick then 1982 to 1986 the planchet was only 2.55 mm but the weight did not change, 15.62 g i guess the one planchet was 99% Nickel and the other 99.9% nickel I wonder what the other metal was to make up the last 1% to .1%

Can anyone tell me was there any difference in the weight of the two Planchets. If i'm not mistaken ( i have been before) they continued using ...

Re: 1947 ML Silver Dollar

I would have to agree , with only 21135 of the 1947ml made it’s surprising that the don’t demand a higher value!!! And I think I have seem more of the 1948 for sale on auction sites then I ever have the 1947ml.
Anyone out there have a explanation???

Re: Silver Nickels

Coin guy your technically correct but I’m a bit with LDW, I have a hard time not calling a 5 cent coin a nickel . The 5 cent coin made today is still a nickel to me :D . Hard for me to break old habits.
