Re: 1909 10 Cents Broad vs Victorian Leaves ?
Thank you so much. That does it. Sorry that the 1909 listing here on the site doesn't even show the correct dated dime. (It is currently a 1907 date). Would help with a side-by-side pic. somewhere. Appreciate it.

1909 10 Cents Broad vs Victorian Leaves ?
Hello folks, I was looking for some visual help to tell the difference between the 1909 "BROAD" leaf and "VICTORIAN" leaf variety dimes. The listing here does not have those photos. Thanks much.

Re: 1884 Cent with ?? in Loop of 2nd "8"
I probed with toothpick and it is hard and "part of the coin". It has "shape" like a letter or number (unlike the 1st 8 lower loop that looks like a standard "chip" (again, not grime but metal). Initially I thought one possibility was a dropped clogged letter (that fell on that spot). If it is a "di...

1884 Cent with ?? in Loop of 2nd "8"
I came across this 1884 Cent with "something" in the top loop of the 2nd "8" in the date. Has anyone seen this ? What are your thoughts on "what it is".?? Looks like a partial number. Thanks in advance for thoughts and Stay Well. Radius88

Re: 1859 N9 - Another Possible DP9 ? What do you think ?
Hello again, I just received Rob Turner's books (2nd Edition of Vol 11, and the 1890-H and 1892 Die studies.) Fantastic work. Details and stats right out of the most comprehensive study the most accomplished Actuarial Sciences professional would be proud to have done. Fabulous pictures and works tha...

Re: 1840 Thistle Token with recessed Edge Reeding ??? Thoughts ?
Hello again, Radius88 here. Feel embarrassed, as I now see where the edge of the 1840 is listed as "engraved". Asked too soon. but thanks.

1840 Thistle Token with recessed Edge Reeding ??? Thoughts ?
Hello all, I picked up this 1840 Nova Scotia Bank 1 Penny that seems to have been fed into some sort of "reeding" machine ? Note how the rim edge is split evenly with reeding ridges at the bottom of the "channel". The coins doesn't look damaged otherwise and the rim is smooth and even it seems. Any ...

Re: 1859 N9 - Another Possible DP9 ? What do you think ?
Fantastic Jim, I'll go to his site. Thank you for the background and those details. I'm almost retired and have collected since a kid and put away a hoard of coins from over 50+ years etc) and now have the time to "curate" what I have but more important is to learn and do some deep dives into my int...

Re: 1859 N9 - Another Possible DP9 ? What do you think ?
Thanks so much for the information. I actually went online to try and order Jim's new Vol 2, but site was not accepting paykents yet, so will try back later. In the meantime, is there information about the population or scarcity of this die pair ? And Cheers for the book reference. Bill (Radius88)

Die break thru 4 leaves on 1909 Cent
Hello All, Found this 1909 Cent with a nice long die crack/break thru several leaves from the coin edge above leaf 14, into the leaf and then moves left thru leaves 13-12- and 11. Close to being a retained cud possibly. Just posted to share. Thanks and Onward.

1859 N9 - Another Possible DP9 ? What do you think ?
Hello, Here is yet another 1859 N9 example that I have that is also not noted in the varieties of DP9 listed. Does it look like it is a DP9 or again, something else caused by damage or metal flake off ? Opinions please. And Thanks again.
