Re: Need Grading Help for 25 Cent Banknotes (2nd Set)

I would go F and VF respectively. It's a little harder to grade from a picture

Re: 1954 two dollar bill no serial numbers

All of these bills missing serial numbers look like they have been through the war (or washing machine) it defies logic that these bills would see so much wear before someone would notice the uniqueness and rarity of genuine missing serial numbers.

Re: 1952 - 1977 Silver Jubilee

There appears to be couple of them on ebay for $20. One of them shows a black case with canadian coat of arms.

Re: Bank note value

You could put them on ebay auction. Starting at around $150 and $12 respectively, then hope for the best.

Re: struggling to identify!!!

My guess is Oman. Looks like 25 baisa. On the second picture the coin is upside down. In your picture the date is at the top of the picture. Reading right to left it is 1400 or 1980. My Arabic is sketchy but hope that helps.

Re: 1968 10¢

Lots of jerks on this site who see a coins worth as only being monetary or whether you can make a profit from it. It is embarrassing how rude they can be to first time posters or someone who is a novice.

Too funny. I have an epson, use professional mode and +800 dpi. But it has a printer with it and bingo, pictures like a button. Thanks Jim, that helps.

Re: Alberta 75th and 100th Anniversary

Thanks Jim. I have used a scanner and photoshop to discern varieties but even with a high resolution I am not happy with the photo results. Maybe I just need to fool around with it a little more. The image that comes from the scanner is very small. I haven't spent a lot of time on it as i haven't ha...

Re: Alberta 75th and 100th Anniversary

This is an area of coinsandcanada I would like to see expanded. While these coins generally are not worth a lot monetarily, they can hold many fond memories of places travelled and times gone by. Coin collecting is not always about making a profit. Sometimes that seems to be too much of the focus. I...

grading help

Thank you for the upgrade to the grading section. I find it a good supplemental guide. Sometimes the descriptions in Charlton are quite vague. Much appreciated. I have never seen different pictures for different denominations. Could you explain the purpose. I also have a humble suggestion. Putting t...
