Re: RCM removing coins out of system 1999 and back

Good morning, Thank you for your replies! I should correct myself I believe coins 2012 and back they started to remove. Removing coins with nickel or copper base metals, does this not greatly reduce that number of coins in circulation produced 2012 back? If this is the case, would the value of a coi...

RCM removing coins out of system 1999 and back

Good morning, It has been nearly 20 years since the RCM had taken upon themselves to forage for coins that are nickel base and other metals, melting these coins down and selling the metals, it was profitable to do so, than producing nickel or copper coins. the plated steel coins in 2000 (nearly 24 y...

1906 25 Cent Mintage

Let us not forget - Remembrance Day! With the 1906 25 cent King Edward VII you have a mintage of 237,843. I have gone to other sites and they have 1,237,843. Which is right? Thank you. :Rechercher:

Re: From 1981 onward - Uncirculated Sets

Totally Agree with CanuckCoinGirl.....it's time for change.....it's a time to eliminate PL all together in Canadian Coinage. Let Carlton words of the 1953 set, Proof-Like...go down in history for his description of that set only. Let's get Canadian here! There has been no time in Canadian Coinage hi...

Re: From 1981 onward - Uncirculated Sets

To conclude I think I have answered my question: See below: This was a quote back in the Coin Community in 2015. Now it states: 1967/68 and back. Not 1981. Can change, when the top dogs feel like it. The best way is to categorized these coins 1969 and forward as MS-NC. and note where a particular co...

Re: From 1981 onward - Uncirculated Sets

PL (Proof-like): Special coins struck at the Mint with a brilliant relief is struck on a brilliant field and not intended for circulation despite the fact that their composition is identical to the coins produced for circulation. If Proof-like coins have been removed from their protective envelope o...

From 1981 onward - Uncirculated Sets

Good Afternoon, In 1981 and onward the Mint produced Set of the following qualities: " Proof" "Specimen" "Uncirculated". The uncirculated sets replaced the proof-like sets. Since there are no proof-like sets from 1981 and onward but only uncirculated sets, why does Coins and Canada have grading for ...

Re: $25 Fine Silver Wolf and pup Coin "O Canada Series"

I went outside and took pictures with comparative, silver bullion, gold bullion, the wolf and one other of the series.

Here they are.

And I think you are right coin guy, I see a tinge of silver in the middle. My daughter says natural light does not lie.

Please confirm.
