Re: 2006 no logo no p magnetic penny
Can't be positive from the photos, but it does look like the pattern of a fingerprint across your coin that is developing. Likely unseen when done, but coming out now that time has passed. It is unclear from your post if you think this is an uncirculated coin. Clearly some uncirculated coins have a ...

Re: Pennies from the Bank of Montreal 1975
Possibly very much like coins put into potato chips - a way to advertise - but the coins would have come from circulation coins and not worth more than face value.

Re: OK people, let's start promoting this website
The ads will pop up if you are on a while, but a small price to deal with for a free site for users. They would, however, make me lose my mind if I was using my phone, I am sure!

Re: 1922 5 cents- near or far rim
Alas...you see my dilemma. It is in a plastic holder, and getting a good view is tough. Angles lead to glare or blur. This is from a scope. Getting an image that is in focus with no glare, but light enough has been a challenger.

1922 5 cents- near or far rim
Does this look like a near or far rim? Coin is a 1922 5 cent piece.

You can add banknotes to this list by submitting your pictures on the discussion board. It might take a bit, but they should show up soon enough.

Re: Viola Desmond bank bundle
I was answering the question with examples, not posting anything I would like for myself... I do agree with your mentor - and I have never bought a bundle, but I have thought about it for specific reasons. I would only buy a bundle that I intended on unbundling myself to find some quality inside. Th...

Re: Viola Desmond bank bundle
Is this really now true for all bundles? It would be rather sad! I know I had seen comments on sales pages that indicated that replacement bills were added for some bills, so the sequence could be broken by a replacement even in a group of 100, and there seems to have been others that have talked ab...

Re: What you collect and why
I really was just an observer to start, and gave things that were interesting to my dad. This worked well when I got old enough to buy him good gifts because he got proof sets for Christmas and he would spend hours going over each coin. I'm trying to convince him there might be better value in other...

Re: Not sure ?
oh dear... definitely had a hard life. Vice marks? Bad method to make a mint error? We used to put single coins on the train tracks to get flats, but also did stacks of two or three where big/heavy equipment was driving for the mines or railways and get some strange marks that I guess could look a l...

Re: Viola Desmond bank bundle
Depends how it is listed, and also who may be auctioning it off. Bundle just means a batch put together and (usually) wrapped. Original bundles come in consecutive sequence, and have a bank seal on them. Purchasing one that is not in sequence can mean a few things. The bundle may have been created f...
