remove from the cardboard flip for the best photos - there is some marking that could be on the coin or on the plastic.

Numis-tastic

I have not seen these available for a while, but was looking for something and saw that Colonial Acres has them available. I have a couple, but wanted to share as it is a great way to think about coins from the Canadian mint, or a nice gift. https://www.colonialacres.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=num...

Re: 2014 proof silver$ 100th ann. WW1. Gold plated?

If the coin was stored in a wood box, especially oak, it could also turn colour., especially because of the mint coating. The plastic holder isn't air tight. I wrote about this talking about a squirrel coin the mint put out in this forum too.

Couldn't possibly include taxes as those vary according to the buyer's location.
Indeed, and private sellers don't need to charge taxes either.
You should assume the prices are before taxes and any other charges, like shipping, etc.

Re: $20 Prefix AIW with serif??

According to this site there were about 3.6 Million notes with the AIW with the tall or serif I.

If you look on the auction information, 3 GUNC65 bills sold for about $170. About half what they are listed for on CaC.

Re: thin 1 cent. Error?

It does look like an odd coin. It would be a planchet issue. It is not a silver colour, so it would not be accidentally done on a dime planchet. It is likely that the metal stripping used to punch the planchet had some thin spots and this coin was punched from there. Alternatively, it could have bee...

Maybe you answered your own question...
Certainly there are some rare coins and bills that come up for sale. How often depends how rare, of course.
