CCCS has returned my 2011 dime and presumes it to be acid wash? I am confused as to how the plating process looks as though it never took place after stamping. I use to plate car bumpers so I still ask here for help.

No edge rounded like the bread taken off sandwich or bun taken from cooked Hamburger it looks great but no outer coating.

Looks to be outer coating of a gas blown off of another coin prior to strike

You might never know exactly what happened to cause this but the fact that it could not have happened during the striking of the coin defaults it to damage. Value 10 cents I found a 2011 without the edging so far it looking like a gas pocket blew, the one I have has been sent to CCCS as it has no e...
