Dont mean to waste anyones time with this one but had to be sure, it's to crazy not to ask hahahaha. So this is obviously PMD? Or a third party attempt at something? The reeded edge made me curious.

I purchased a couple of these gold plated sets spur of the moment at a local coin shop, full sets, not just this 50 cent piece. I realize they are not plated by the mint, but have seen these sets popping up now and then in different forums and blogs. I'm only curious about them because all the sets ...

Looks like the double 888 variation with some extras on the obverse. MD I'm guessing on legend and Queens face. And die chips or extra filling or something on legend letters

Lots of doubling and what looks like stretched plating or something? Example can be seen by Queens shoulder and by the legend
