Re: 1982 Constitution Dollar Weight
thanks but seems strange 1968 to 1982 they used a planchet 2.62 mm thick then 1982 to 1986 the planchet was only 2.55 mm but the weight did not change, 15.62 g i guess the one planchet was 99% Nickel and the other 99.9% nickel I wonder what the other metal was to make up the last 1% to .1%

Can anyone tell me was there any difference in the weight of the two Planchets. If i'm not mistaken ( i have been before) they continued using ...

Re: 1947 ML Silver Dollar
I would have to agree , with only 21135 of the 1947ml made it’s surprising that the don’t demand a higher value!!! And I think I have seem more of the 1948 for sale on auction sites then I ever have the 1947ml.
Anyone out there have a explanation???

Re: Silver Nickels
Coin guy your technically correct but I’m a bit with LDW, I have a hard time not calling a 5 cent coin a nickel . The 5 cent coin made today is still a nickel to me
. Hard for me to break old habits.

Re: What you collect and why
Welcome to the forum Canadian Banknotes, great to hear your story of currencies collecting. I agree with you on the great art work of bank notes. But somehow I go to coin shows and often come home with both notes and coins.

Re: Help With 1986 2 Dollar bills
I would have to agree with coinguy . unless your bills are in perfect condition they are not worth much more then face value but they are great bills to use to get young collectors started and interested. with that said i'm thinking it is a miss print but the last two bills you have listed with EGU ...

Can’t help with grade or what might have cause the discolouring but I like it the way it looks!!
Not a lot of ware on it so I think it would grade reasonably high.

Re: 1967 Canadian Dollar. Two angles?
I agree that there isn't much response to a post on this sight , there is a lot more on CCF but the big part of it is based on US currency. I like to read them both. I don't feel confident enough to be giving anyone advise or i would reply to more stuff here. I can tell you new canada 1 that your ph...
