1964 Struck Through Large Piece of Scrap
I think this coin has been struck through a very large piece of scrap on the reverse. This deformed the planchet causing an imperfect strike on the obverse by Elizabeth. I know the coin is heavily circulated and not pretty to look at but I thought it was interesting to share and get peoples thoughts.

1985 Pierced Throat, die clash?
This 1985 dollar has lines by the Queen's neck "Pierced Throat". I am wondering if it could be caused by a die clash? There are two other die clash looking features by the Queen's hair (photo 4). Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks. (it also has a collar clash on reverse and a minor struck thr...

1979 Double Hanging 9, 15 degree rotation & collar clash
I thought this coin has a lot going on with it:
-both die clashes touch the 9, "double hanging 9"
-there is a 15 degree rotation
-die clash on obverse
and a minor collar clash.

Re: 1982 Voyageur "Patched Canoe"
Thanks for your help in trying to figure this out. I have attached photos of the 1986 "patched canoe" using the same microscope and lighting as an example. In my opinion they have the same "texture".

Re: 1969 C on the Canoe
Thanks for the feedback. I went through all 120 coins again and found another 5 (9 total) with this exact feature. I'm thinking it must be struck through scrap because all 9 coins have the "c" in the exact same location and "subtle strike". If it were added after the minting process the likelihood o...

1969 C on the Canoe
I examined a number of 1969 dollar coins this weekend and I found four coins that seem to have the letter C on the canoe in the exact same location and orientation. It is exactly the same on each coin so I have ruled out post mint damage. It is very subtle but when the light hits it right it shows u...

2021 Bluenose Struck Through Grease, Rigging, 37 coins
Going through the two 2021 Bluenose mint boxes, I found another struck through grease sequence/progression. It is in close proximity to the struck through grease, C in cents, progression post I uploaded a few months back. It is on the rigging of the Bluenose near the c in cents and consists of 37 co...
