To me that looks like because of the rough surface that it may be copper plated zinc coin.

The "DEI GRATIA REGINA" is a common area for die cracks on a lot of the silver dollars. Charlton has that area listed as varieties on six different Queen Elizabeth Dollars.

Where did you get your dates from? The original $5.00 was printed between 2001 and 2005.
The upgraded security issue started printing in 2006.
What are the signatures and prefixes on your bills. Also it would help if you could supply photos
