Re: 1892 Canada Large Cents
Well, I go by the photos and verbiage in Rob Turner's "Dies and Diadems" where it covers the Obverses from 1890 to 94, so technically I may be wrong with Charlton. The switch to a slightly different Queen image (hair, brow, crown) affected the 1892's, so you had Obv 2, 3 or 4. I have always used, an...

Re: 1975 with doubling on obverse
It looks like mechanical/machine doubling to me. I will post this great reference again now for the Nth time. Read the article and then click on the links below the article. Not every anomoly that appears to be doubling actually came from the die. They came from the machinery that operated or held t...

Re: 1892 Canada Large Cents
Sammeli.... The 1st coin photo isn't clear enough to tell about the smooth, rounded chin/throat like an Obv 1. The chin looks flat and the photo not clear enough to see if there is a wrinkle/gap there. Anyway, it's not a variety of any kind.

Re: 1892 Canada Large Cents
1, 3,4, 5 are all Obv 3. Obv 3 coins have a long cross on the E's inside. #2 is an Obv 2 with missing left serif on the N in Regina, which is normal, as is the broken upper serif on the D in Canada. I don't know what you are referring to as far as a "closed C" in Canada. For 1892, you also had some ...

Re: Need help identifying error
Not an error. It looks like someone "sandblasted" it with sawdust/nut chips or talc to remove the outer plating. A neat garage job.

Re: AMERICAN 1965 QUARTERS 1 Black Beauty 1 Regular
Poor pics, but neither look even close to AU. Unless I'm mistaken, the silver quarters ended in 1964, so this is a clad coin that is best just spent, with no numismatic value.

Need clearer photos for sure. I don't think that any are DDO or DDR. Check out this article by one of the recognized experts, as well as the links at the bottom of the article. They are all neat coins and oddities, but very little to put in your wallet. https://doubleddie.com/144801.html What you ha...

Without a closer look, they look like machine/mechanical doubling or die deterioration doubling. It is a curiosity and an error collector may be interested, but who knows.

Re: 1933 BU UNC what is the grade???
We need to look at the whole coin, not through plastic. I see some small dings on the rim. It won't be a 65.
Sorry you must have posted the whole-coin pics while I was typing. I don't think that it will even get to R-B.

Re: 2022 die chip error + ?die crack
Everything that you've shown adds no value and there may be millions of them out there. Just like nails and booby pins and thumbtacks, the manufacturor is set up to produce as many as possible, not make them look as nice as possible. If you look closely at ANY coin produced here in the last 20 years...

There is no added value for that coin. If it was in a grade VF+ or above, maybe just a little bit more.

Unless I'm WAY off base, the loon is on the Reverse, with the monarch on the Obverse.

Maybe a filled die with grease or crud.
