Don't break it. It isn't worth more or less either there are two obverses, two reverses or one of each at both end.

The 9 is obviously PMD. But any half dollar from 1870 to 1936 is a great piece imo!

Low serial = 0000999 and less.

1973 1-dollar banknotes aren't rare. Most families kept a couple of them before the dollar coin in 1987. Hope it helps!
