US 1936 buffalo nickel

need help & info on 5 leg 1936 buffalo nickel US know about 3 & one half but not 5 although some fellow collectors say they have heard of 5 legs buy do not have data any assistance would be great thks richasrd

I will have to give the same answer as the other Forum you posted this question on. I have never heard of a 5 leg buffalo nickel. I have seen a 3 leg, 3 1/2 leg and of course the common 4 leg. Where did you hear that there was a 5 leg? Sounds like something you would see listed on Etsey to try and con in some new collector.

Do you have any proof or a photo or is it just what someone heard. Until there is definite proof of one, I would just have to consider it as heresay. I don't possibly see how a 5 legged nickel could be struck without it being discovered by know.

Well, it's not in the Cherrypickers Guide to rare die varieties that gives all known varieties to US coins. That's usually a type of bible for US varieties going way back.
