Alloy Recovery Program

Post by DarkSki » Thu May 28, 2020 8:48 pm

It has been several years now since the government has started destroying old coins for their metal value but the nickel coin values have not appeared to increase at all.

When are we going to start restoring and pulling these coins out of circulation so this doesnt happen ??

Will these nickel content coins ever be worth more than face value or are they just going to be left to their current fate?

I would like to hear from someone on this as I think it's terrible what these plated coins are made of , they dont last and they rust so easy and I certainly would never collect them but nickel coins have some potential.

The Canadian nickel and older Canadian cents l are worth more than face at this point. I’ve seen the nickel in the past worth more than twice face value. See http://www.coinflation.com/canada/

There is a whole group of people who have dedicated a lot of time mining for Canadian-based metal coins for their value. See. http://www.realcent.org/viewforum.php? ... 581383d436
