Canada 5 cents 1891

I posted the item in the 'errors and varieties' initially, and thought to access a wider audience for additional comment.

Appears to be a new variety in late die state. Housed in a PCGS MS64 holder. Clashed on both sides, more heavily on obverse. See first group of images below. Please see follow-up post for additional images. All comments welcome.

As I put in the other forum that you posted in, what I see are not "clashes" ... it appears to be some die deterioration doubling and Mechanical/machine doubling; may even a few repunches.

Thank you for your comment. Below find two images of the area to the left, right and above the bust. The arrows point to edges of raised areas in the field. Appears to be die clashing?

Yes, they look like clashes .. I never saw them in your first posts. Examine the shape of the clashes .... they should be the mirror image of the knot/bow and ribbon at the end of the wreath at the bottom of the reverse. It's much easier to see with the coin in hand.
