Hello guys, I’m new to the forum.

I’ve been collecting Canadian coins for a while now. Today i was giving a second look to my collection and I noticed 2 coins with potentially rare errors on them.

The first is a 1935 with a strange + in metal on the left side of the canoe. Notice also the cracks on the rim.

The second one, is a 1954 with a circular step around the head of the queen.

Are those errors?
I’ve searched a bit, but I could not find any reference.

Thank tou for your help.

Is the marks on the '54 raised or recessed?

The area around the queen heas is lower than area on the inscription. It forms a kind of a step.

The '54 is a damaged coin, no error there.
The '35 looks as though it may have been encased or was once a jewelry item, appears to be solder remnants on the rim.
Can you provide a pic of the '35's obverse please?.
