Oh coinstar machine.

Post by TheCashier1812 » Fri Jul 30, 2021 5:01 pm

So today I went to my first coinstar machine to get rid of my junk nickels and dimes.
Couldn't believe the fee they take out at the end but what ever was in a rush and didn't feel like waiting in line at the bank.
After I dumped it in and was waiting I notice that the person before me left a few penny's and a dime, turns out that one dime was a 1959 sliver dime 8) .
Legit shocked that the person didn't go through their coins first. After it was done I went to go cashed out, I got back a 2021 non colored toonie out of it, I guess it made up from the 11.99 fee lmao. What a good way to start of the day.

A few years ago my son who has autism a lot of roll searching. And so we dumped a lot of coins and he is found all kinds of interesting things. Everything from a 10th of an ounce of gold. A US two cent coin. An American flying eagle cent. All kinds of bullets. I sort of miss those days. See http://www.realcent.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8274
